RESEARCH INTERESTS:
My research is focused on the molecular mechanisms of transcription regulation during the process of mammalian blood cell development. Specifically, I am interested in the process by which GATA and ETS factors choose their binding sites during erythroid and megakaryocytic differentiation. In addition, I am using ChIP-Sequencing and gene expression profiling to identify novel pathways regulated by master transcription factors during the development of these blood lineages. Finally, I am interested in how GATA family transcription factors control chromatin structure to regulate cell lineage decision and identity.
